Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

The graphics are cartoonish, with a definite retro 16-bit feel to them. If this was played on a SNES, it certainly wouldn't look out of place. 

Animations are smooth enough, but the older-looking graphics will not appeal to everyone.

Musically, there are some nice jingles for wins and reel effects are well designed.

How to Play Fushen Coming

1. To begin with, it's always a good idea to take a quick look at the paytable. This is found in Fushen Coming by clicking the three-line menu at the bottom left of the reels, then the 'i' icon which appears. The paytable explains how winning symbols are paid out as well as providing details about the wild symbol and free games feature.
2. Set your spin bet by clicking the plus and minus buttons at the bottom of the screen. These allow you to cycle through the available bet options in the game. The bet displayed here is the total bet per spin.

The win amount mechanic seems to be needlessly complicated, with wins based on paytable odds. The total bet is divided by 50 and then multiplied by the paytable odds to calculate your winnings. Whilst the top symbol win of 400x seems very generous, once divided by 50 it becomes a far more modest 8x the total bet. As Fushen Coming is played with 243 active paylines, these relatively low odds can add up to a large amount if you get the right combination of symbols.

Fushen Coming Bonus Features

The wild character symbol will substitute for all in game symbols with the exception of the free game symbol.

The free game symbols will appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. This symbol triggers 10 free games if three or more appear on the reels following a spin. During free spins, all wins are subject to a multiplier based on the contents of a red envelope selected at the start of the feature. These win multipliers mount up as the feature progresses, so if your envelope is the x2 multiplier, for example, your wins will be multiplied by two on the first free spin, four on the second and so on.

Free spins can be retriggered by landing the free game symbol on the reels three times in a spin. The multiplier is the same as at the beginning of the feature.

It has a definite retro charm and the chance to win big in a generous bonus feature. These features do not trigger often, however, and the somewhat confusing way the paytable is set out may put people off.
