Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt is pretty easy to understand once you start playing. The game is set on a treasure map made up of 70 stones, and each stone acts as a betting spot. Your goal is simple: predict where the treasure will land and place your bets wisely.

Placing Your Bets

The game begins with a 14-second betting phase. During this time, you can place your wagers on one or more of the 70 stones displayed on the wall. Betting on several spots increases your chances of finding treasure, though it also spreads your wager more thinly. The Gonzo Key Stones

Once betting is complete, the treasure map dissolves to reveal three Gonzo Key Stones hidden across random spots. The Prize Drop

The map has 70 squares, so betting one unit on each square costs 70 units. The biggest possible win in the main game is around 60 units (four Gold Blocks at 10x and one Multiplier Block at 20x). Since the multiplier block doesn’t appear every round, your realistic payout is usually closer to 50–55 units, meaning you’d lose 15–20 units on average.

The only way this strategy could pay off is if you hit a Gonzo Key Stone and enter the bonus round, where payouts start at 25x. But the bonus round doesn’t happen every round, so betting on every square is not a good long-term strategy.

Betting on Gonzo’s Key Stones

A smarter approach is to focus on finding the Gonzo Key Stones. There are three hidden on the map each round. If you place bets on seven different squares, you have about a 50% chance of hitting at least one Key Stone. Adding more bets increases your chances even more.

Landing a key stone doesn’t guarantee the bonus round - a treasure block still needs to hit it, but it puts you halfway there. This strategy is safer than betting on every square and can give you better long-term results.
