Hot Nudge Slot Graphics
The symbols in Hot Nudge all take inspiration from classic slots with a steampunk twist: playing card suits, with the King of Diesel, Queen of Steam and Jack of Punk standing in as the main characters in this steampunk adventure.
The lower-paying symbols take the form of hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds, all created using scrap bits of metal, engines and cogs to give them an industrial makeover.
How to Play Hot Nudge Slots
Although the great engine of Nolimit City's Hot Nudge may make gameplay look complicated, once you’ve located the controls you’ll find it’s a simple machine to run:
- Underneath the reels on the far left you’ll see your total bet, which can be amended either by clicking on the ‘+’ or ‘-‘ buttons or by clicking on the number shown.
- You can bet from 20p.
- Your ‘balance’ is shown on the right-hand side underneath the reels in a mirrored position to the ‘bet’.
- In the middle of the bottom of the screen you’ll see a large button containing an arrow chasing itself. This is the ‘spin’ button to enable you to spin the reels.
- For other settings, the speakerphone button in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen allows you to mute or unmute the atmospheric sound effects, whilst the three dots in the bottom right-hand corner bring up the game’s settings, including ‘play history’, ‘keypad guide’, ‘game rules’ and paytables.
There’s also a mechanical-looking sign in the top right-hand corner which will keep track of any multipliers you obtain with the nudging Hot Wilds, so you don’t need to count yourself.
Top Steampunk Slots
How to Win
To win at Hot Nudge, simply find three or more matching symbols along any of the generous 40 fixed paylines starting on the far left reel. The Hot Wild symbol can replace any symbol other than the Scatter to extend your matching rows and will appear in reels 2, 3 and 4 and will nudge to fill entire reels, adding a multiplier for every position it moves.
Keep an eye out for one of the character symbols to fill all four rows in reels 1 and 2 to see their matching symbols nudge to also fill all four rows on any other reels they land on.
Wilds and Scatters
Although not a paying symbol itself, the Hot Wild also appears stacked and will nudge into position to fully fill any reel it lands on. Appropriately, the Hot Wild character is a female mechanic - the perfect image for a symbol which ‘fixes’ paylines to pay out more.
The Wild can replace any symbol other than the Scatter. The Hot Scatter in this game is illustrated in a yellow warning sign adorned with the words “Hot Scatter”.

Nudge Feature
As the name ‘Hot Nudge’ suggests, the main bonus feature of this grungy game are the nudges lent to the Hot Wilds and King, Queen and Jack of steampunk, causing these symbols to take over entire reels.
For the Hot Wild, this symbol featuring a female mechanic in hot pants and a cap will nudge up or down if even part of it shows on a reel to fill the space available.
With every nudge you’ll gain an additional multiplier to your winnings with the maximum available of x10. You can keep track of your multipliers in the top right-hand corner of the engine reel. The multipliers only last for the spin they’re generated on, so you’ll need to start from scratch on the next spin.
If any of the character symbols - the King of Diesel, Queen of Steam or Jack of Punk - fill all four rows of the first two reels, any corresponding appearances of their symbols will also nudge to fill the entirety of the reels they appear on.
Free Spins
The Hot Scatter symbol, illustrated on a yellow warning sign, can also appear anywhere on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th reels and is the only symbol the Hot Wild can’t replace as well as being the only symbol which doesn’t appear stacked in Hot Nudge. When three of these Scatters are found you’ll be awarded with seven free spins.
