Introduction

NetGame is a relatively new game developer based in the Ukrainian capital Kiev. A visit to their website doesn’t tell you much about them, although it gives ample information about their fledgling range of games. You won’t find many NetGame free slots yet, but they have ambitious expansion plans, so we can expect to see a lot more of them in the near future. Inferno Fruits has much in common with Microgaming’s Diamond Inferno slot, both in its visual depiction and its gameplay. If you’re looking for a slot with bonus round, neither game will be quite right for you, but there are other elements to enjoy.

Inferno Fruits has a conventional 5-reel 3-column grid and 243 pay ways. The coin size is 0.01. The minimum bet level is 0.20 and the maximum is 20. There are 5 high-paying regular symbols - Lucky Seven, Bell, Three Bars, Two Bars and One Bar - along with 6 low-paying symbols: Strawberry, Watermelon, Lemon, Plum, Orange and Cherries. The wild is a horn-hatted joker.

Theme, graphics and soundtrack

Fruit-themed slots remain popular no matter how complex the themes and graphics of other games become. Most commonly, they will emulate the look of traditional one-armed bandits set against a background that is recognisably that of a casino, but sometimes developers choose an entirely different visualisation, as NetGame has done in setting its transparent reels against a starry night sky with smears of purple clouds and gentle meteor showers falling to Earth.

The setup is appealing, and although there is very little animation or other graphic impact in the game, the fruits have an unusual hyper-realism to them and the colour scheme is pleasing to the eye. The soundtrack is a fairly standard piece of euro-electro-funk that neither adds to nor detracts from the experience.

  3. Click on Auto Play to call up the menu and select a number of auto plays from 10 to infinity. The number of auto spins remaining will be displayed on the auto play button, which now reads ‘stop’. You can cancel auto play by clicking this button at any time.
  4. Click on Turbo Mode to increase the speed of the reels.
  5. Click on Buy Bonus to the left of the screen to buy free spins. The buy bonus costs 100 times the current bet.
  6. All wins pay left to right. Only the highest win is paid on each win line.
  7. Wild symbols will substitute for every symbol except for the Bonus symbols.
  8. Always play gambling games responsibly. If you're playing for money, make sure you stay within the limits of what you can afford to lose. When it stops being fun, you should stop playing.

Inferno Fruits bonus features

Free Spins

If 3 or more bonus symbols land on the reels, they will trigger 10 free spins. Any multiplier orb of 2x or 3x value that lands will activate a win multiplier. An additional multiplier orb of 3x on the same reel will boost the multiplier to 3x if the current value is less than 3x. Win multipliers will multiply each other up to a maximum of 243x. If you activate all 5 multipliers, you will win an additional 5 free spins.

Multiplier Orb

Any orb symbols landing on the reels will activate a win multiplier. The orb is also wild and substitutes for all other symbols.

Inferno Fruits review: Our verdict

This is a pretty good stab at upgrading the traditional fruit theme to a fresh setting. The RTP is good and the payouts are fairly generous. There isn’t much to the game play and there’s a lack of special features, but those are generally rare in such traditionally based games so it would seem inappropriate to complain. This is a simple, decent game.

FAQs

What is the RTP and variance of Inferno Fruits?

The game’s RTP is 96.53 per cent, according to the makers, but other sources put it at 96.2 per cent. The variance or volatility is high.

What does RTP actually mean?

RTP stands for Return to Player. The figure for each game indicates the average percentage a player will receive back. However, this average is based on all win levels. This means the level of player losses always outweighs the large wins. The average player’s return will always be lower than the total wager.

What does variance mean?

Variance or volatility is a term borrowed from poker and applied to slots to indicate the frequency and size of payouts. High-variance games award large payouts but deliver them only rarely, while low-variance games pay small and more frequently.
