Transparent reels and symbols that blend well with the background create a powerful sense of place. You can see the ocean and sky in vivid blue, with just a hint of the shore and a few wooden posts. The lobster of the title is a cheerful character with shades and a deep, laughing voice, and he sits alongside other familiar emblems of the sea like a lighthouse and a fisherman, all of which are bright and bold in appearance, along with card symbols that are literally anchored to the screen. Then there’s a merry tune playing, interspersed with lapping waves and the cries of gulls, to make this cheerful world complete.

Lobsterama RTP and Variance

Now, normally when you look at a slot and try to figure out your likely returns, the developer will have given you an RTP but might not have been so generous with the variance. Lobsterama seems to have gone the other way. There’s no official RTP figure, which is a little annoying, but it does appear to have a low to medium variance. That means it’s fairly balanced, but you’re more likely to get small, frequent wins than the big, far apart ones associated with high volatility.

How to Play Lobsterama

1. The buttons of this slot are fairly large and spaced out, ensuring that you can still appreciate the graphics of the game and that they’re pretty easy to find (as well as having a wooden effect that allows them to blend with the theme).
2. There’s one button at the top left of the screen which is a Menu button that will open lots of other options. When you first click it, it will send you straight to the paytable.
3. From there you can see a range of other buttons. Topmost is a speaker that can switch between mute and unmute (perhaps a little unfortunately, you can’t split the sound effects from the music).
4. Try the question mark to see the help page with more in depth descriptions of how to play.
5. A sign looking like a clock will take you to game history if you want to see where you’ve been and how it’s going.
6. Both shopping cart and home buttons can take you back to the Mobilots site.
7. Now you’ve been through all of the Menu, you can go back to the main screen. At the bottom left you’ll find a bet button, which when clicked will allow you to adjust coin size and lines as well as going to Max Bet.
8. On the right of the screen you’ll find three buttons. The lightning bolt is simple enough. That’s to play in Turbo mode. The big button is Spin, and will turn the reels once. The plus symbol is autoplay, where you can choose between five and infinite automatic spins.
9. Unfortunately, you can’t include win and loss limits in autoplay, so you’ll still have to keep an eye on your balance, win and bet displays at the bottom of the screen to stay in budget. That way your game will be both fun and responsible.

Bet & Win Sizes

Your coin size can go from 0.05 to 5.00. With all lines in play, that means a total bet of between 0.50 and 50.00. Of course, if you reduce your number of lines, it does reduce your bet, but it also reduces your chances to win.

The other thing that changes with your bet is the value of each symbol. The paytable will show you what each icon is worth for three, four or five matches based on your current wager, which if you’re set at the minimum will look like this:

Expanding Wilds

The lobster only appears on the second, third and fourth reels, but it acts as a Wild substitute for other symbols. Not only that, there is an additional wild symbol feature. When your reels stop spinning, the Wild will expand so it fills every position from top to bottom to potentially increase your chances of a line.
