Introduction

We’re seeing quite a few action hero games cropping up in recent times, fuelled by popular film franchises such as James Bond and Mission Impossible. There may have been multiple influences when it came to creating Max Cash, but the soundtrack is highly derivative of the iconic Bond theme. Meanwhile on the background to the reels the game’s hero is living out a Tom Cruise-style fantasy, leaping from high buildings and roaring off at speed on a high-powered motorbike. Other game symbols include detonator timing devices, revolvers and, of course, a beautiful but mysterious woman. It’s all been beautifully done, but we personally found the soundtrack irritating after a while and were forced to mute it.
