Theme & Story

Hera wasn't a queen; she was a goddess. Revered in Ancient Greece as the goddess of women and family, she is arguably one of the most important Gods of Olympus. 

A traditional Greek tune adds a touch of brightness to the game. The high-paying symbols include Hera herself, wife and sister of Zeus, along with a second male god, although it is not clear who he is. Carrying a flame, he might well be Hephaestus, the god of Fire. The Wild symbol is Hades, god of the Underworld. The other high-paying symbols include a helmet, harp and shield. The Scatter symbol is a lantern. Beyond the reels is a landscape filled with Grecian temples, waterfalls, flowers, and the crystal blue Aegean Sea. The reels are encased by two columns, and the game name is displayed along the top.

1. Start by making a wager. You can do this by clicking on the ellipsis symbol (...), which is located on the right side of the reels, below the spin button. 
2. A pop-up menu screen will appear where you can make a bet of between 0.10 (0.01 per line) and 50.00 (5.00 per line). 
3. From here, you can also set up to 100 autospins with stop options.You can also adjust the game speed.

Queen Hera Bonus Features

Symbol Collection/Multiplier

Each time one of the high-paying symbols appears, the corresponding meter at the bottom of the reels will fill up. When the meter is full, it will display a multiplier of between x 3 and x 5. Any subsequent payline wins made with that symbol will be awarded a multiplier of that amount. After that, the meter will empty and the multiplier will be removed. 

Wild Symbol

The Wild Symbol, who can only be the God Hades, substitutes for all symbols with the exception of the scatter. The Wild only appears on Reels, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Gamble Feature

Available after every win, the gamble feature adds a bit of a spark to a game that’s otherwise quite lacking in bonus features.To play the Gamble game, click on the revolving dice symbol that appears above the Spin button after a win. To decline the feature, simply hit the spin button and collect your win. If you do choose to enter the gamble feature, a pop-up screen will appear. You will see two images, one of Hera and one of Hephaestus. Simply choose which one you think might lie beneath the central button. If you are correct, your winnings will be doubled; if not, you will lose them and return to the game. If you guess correctly, you can have another gamble for up to 5 times in a row. At any time, you can also collect your winnings and return to the game.

This crisp-looking game provides a brief introduction to Greek mythology for those who missed that class. Queen Hera from Matrix Studios has some really excellent features, the best being the symbol collector and resultant multiplier, which could see high-paying wins multiplied by as much as 5. The Gamble option also adds a bit of excitement, which is much-needed given that there is no bonus game nor free spins.
