The Scarab Beetle is just one of the many species of dung beetle that inhabit our world. Its technical name is Scarabaeus sacer (scarab). It is known for rolling dung into spherical balls; after all, someone’s got to do it!

This dung-rolling expert became sacred to the ancient Egyptians because to them it seemed to emerge from out of nowhere.
