Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

Eyecon have succeeded in creating a dark and foreboding world in Vlad's Castle. The reels are framed by Gothic-style wrought iron, fashioned into bats' wings and claw shapes, with candles burning at the top. Symbols include pictures of Vlad the vampire, his bride, a bat, a coffin and a white rose, as well as metallic symbols of Ace to 9. Behind the symbols on the reels, blood-red wallpaper can be seen in flickering candlelight. With each big win, a cloud of bats will rise and flutter over the reels as if disturbed by the noise. The soundtrack is everything you'd expect it to be - choral and orchestral and with the sounds of a harp and an organ, which all contribute to the eerie atmosphere of this slot.

How to Play Vlads Castle

1. Once the game loads, it will give you the option to have sound or not. Make your choice and it will take you straight to the reels.

Vlads Castle Bonus Features

The Vlad symbol acts as both a Wild and a Scatter. As a Wild it substitutes for every symbol except for the Castle Scatter, and when it combines with symbols to make a win, that win is doubled. As a Scatter, Vlad will trigger the Free Games bonus. 

Free Games Bonus Feature

Three, four or five Vlad Scatters will award you 15, 20 or 25 free games respectively. Free games are played based on the number of paylines on the game they were awarded, and all wins are tripled during the bonus feature. Free games can be retriggered up to 15 times.

Portrait Prize Pick

Triggered by three or more Castle scatters, the Portrait feature is a pick and win game where you're guaranteed a win. You'll be awarded three, four or five picks depending on the number of Scatters, where you can win 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x or 100x your bet. All wins are added together at the end of the round.

Vlad's Castle Review

Vlad's Castle's two features promise an engaging game. We weren't able to trigger any free games during our test run of 200 spins, but we did pick up three Castle scatters, which awarded us a 5x bet win and two 10x bet wins, for a total of 25x our bet. Shortly after the free picks we landed five Bats in a row for 1000x our bet. The atmospheric soundtrack and rich graphics make this slot a pleasure to play, but its high variance and slightly less than average RTP mean that you'll have to be patient.
