Introduction

FBM is an Asian game developer, founded in 2001, which has grown into a global brand known for taking risks and pursuing unusual ideas. Wheel of Fun features a single spinning wheel with 24 numbered sections. The betting system is different from traditional reel slots with a fixed bet level of 100. Theme, graphics and soundtrack

There are so many things stacked against Wheel of Fun, in terms of the straightforward gameplay and the visuals. How much can you do with a spinning wheel? The overweight, moustachioed ringmaster has borrowed the hat and white rabbit from the resident magician, but this creature is just a bystander, with very active ears, watching as the blinking boss crouches with his gloved hand tapping on the wheel waiting for you to play. Click spin and without breaking a sweat he flicks the wheel and off it goes. That’s it. But it has been created in such a way that there is real tension when the wheel comes to a stop with the pointer able to go either way at the last gasp. And when you do win, the red-coated master of ceremonies manages a little celebratory jump.

Maybe we were just lucky to hit the maximum payout on our first try, which convinced us to keep going, but it’s undeniably enjoyable, even with the bog-standard fairground music.

How to play Wheel of Fun

1. Use the bet slider at the top of the screen to set your wager.
2. Use the chances slider to select the number of wheel segments you wish to activate and light up. You can light a minimum of 4 segments and a maximum of 20 out of the total of 24. The higher the number of segments chosen the lower the level of possible payout.
3. The win chance field will display the chances of winning in a single spin, calculated by the number of segments chosen.
4. The win payout field will display the potential prize for winning on a single spin, calculated according to your wager and the number of segments chosen.
5. Press the spin button in the centre of the wheel to set the wheel spinning.
6. The wheel will spin and gradually slow down until it stops with the pointer on one of the 24 segments. If the segment is stops on is one of those you have selected then you will win.
7. You may set the speed of each spin by ticking the quick play tickbox in the options (cog icon) menu.
8. Results history is displayed on the left of the screen. Wins are highlighted in yellow.
9. Press the auto spin button in the bottom right hand corner to open the auto spin options menu. Here you can set the number of wheel spins on which you wish to bet. 
10. In this menu you can also set various bet options including the choice of increasing or decreasing your bet level after a win or a loss and setting overall betting limits.

This couldn’t be more simple. There is no bonus game, no gamble feature, no scatters wilds or free spins, just the wheel and your own risk-tasking prowess. But somehow it works. With your eyes focussed on that pointer, for a few moments that is all you care about. The RTP is pleasingly high and the top payout is very appealing. All in all it works, even though on paper it shouldn’t.
