Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack 

The graphics in Astromaya are an interesting affair with symbology that players of Aztec games such as Gonzo’s Quest, Montezuma and the Mayana slot game will be familiar with such as statues, temples and ancient scrolls combined with alien iconography such as spaceships and alien skulls.

The action takes place in an ancient Aztec structure full of hieroglyphics with a temple looming large in the background. Flecks of light constantly move up the screen whilst leaves blow on the trees putting the game in perpetual motion.

Ancient golden coins shoot out and up from the bottom of the reel set to accompany a win, whilst the winning symbols pulsate from the screen.

The soundtrack is more alien than Aztec, though there are elements of both themes which cleverly combine.
