Yggdrasil’s Atlantean Gigarise takes players on an underwater adventure to the lost world of Atlantis. The game features a dreamy blue backdrop with drowned ancient structures standing tall. Colourful coral sits at the front of the reels while fish swim across the screen and bubbles float up to the surface.

Overall, it’s a great-looking game with some beautiful details. Yggdrasil never really fails us in the design department, though.

How to Win

In Atlantean Gigarise, wins are created by landing thee or more matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right. The game begins with 2520 ways to win, but you can increase the number of winning ways by landing trident symbols.

Every time a trident appears on a reel, it will expand upward by one symbol space. Over time, this gradually gives you more ways to win – up to a maximum of 32,768.

Bonus Game

The bonus game in Atlantean Gigarise is triggered by expanding one reel to its full height. This is a Money Train-style bonus feature where you can collect prizes when symbols fall on the highlighted section of the screen.

Overall Review

With more and more Megaways slot games being released every month, it’s nice to see something a little different. The expanding reels feature is always good fun, and gives players something interesting to look forward to as they spin the reels.

The bonus features are also pretty impressive. There are plenty on offer, although you can go quite a while without triggering one. You’d think that you’d land the Bonus Round before the free spins but the tridents are difficult to collect during the main game so this very well be the more elusive feature for you.

Overall, Yggdrasil has done an impressive job in creating a new game mechanic immersed in a vibrant theme. The rest of the gameplay offers an entertaining experience, as well, especially with the low/medium variance maths model.
