Intuitive snake or hotheaded dragon?

The game features four animals, each based on one of the Chinese zodiac signs of the rooster, snake, tiger and dragon. According to the zodiac, roosters are apparently resourceful, hardworking and talented; snakes are enigmatic and intuitive; tigers are brave, competitive and charming; and dragons are intelligent but hot-headed... probably from all that fire breathing!

The game has 20 paylines over five reels. Landing three of the zodiac signs in a row for any of these animals will get you a payout of 25 coins. If you can get four, you’re in line for 50 coins. If luck is really on your side and you get five in a row, you’ll get a divine blessing of 150 coins. There are the usual playing card symbols, elegantly drawn to look like Chinese brushstrokes. Three 10s nets you four coins, and five 10s get you 20 coins. While three Aces net you a lowly eight coins, go up to five Aces and you’re looking at 40 coins. This is not a bad payout on the lower-paying cards.

Cloning wild: a great new feature

There are no free spins or scatters, but things heat up a lot once the Cloning Wild feature kicks in. It moves across the reels and lines, turning random positions wild. You usually get around six or so of these in one go. However, if it fills all positions, your horoscope predicts 800 times your stake as your prize. Working from the left side of the reels, when a symbol matches a payline pattern, your win is paid out.

Red Tiger Gaming's Divine Ways is pretty transparent in helping you understand how prize amounts are worked out. The payout is the amount you have staked on each line multiplied by the amount shown on the pay table, which you can see by clicking on the large rightward arrow. A useful diagram shows every winning pattern across the reels and lines. What happens if you get multiple wins across different paylines? These are added together so that the total win reflects all the smaller wins. This is good because some slots simply take the biggest one and ignore the rest.

The only time Divine Ways does that is when you get two wins on the same payline, in which case the larger one is taken. The Auto button allows you to set the number of spins that happen in a sequence, your loss limit and when you want to stop the spins. You can choose a single win exceeding a certain amount after a jackpot or after earning a bonus feature.
