When we first logged on to play Faerie Nights we were immediately blown away by the character and story Irondog Studios were able to tell just by the backdrop and music. The stunning forest and consistency of the graphics pull you into this enchanted world, and the music hints at magic and mystery whilst butterflies fly in the background. Looking up from the screen, we almost expect to see a mischievous faerie or pixie fluttering in my peripheral vision.

In terms of gameplay, the reels spin nice and quickly and the game loads at a suitable speed, which is nice as it meant we didn’t have to wait around between spins.

Unfortunately, the forest’s magic wasn’t hugely in our favour, so we didn’t hit any big wins - nor were we able to unlock the Night time bonus round even after 200 spins, although we did manage small matches on every few spins and were impressed by how frequently the expanding Wild Tree showed up on every reel.

Overall, although we didn’t take home any massive treasure chests of wealth, we enjoyed playing Faerie Nights and found it a perfect escape from the mundane day-to-day life without faeries brings. If you’re looking for a spark of magic in your life, this game is the one for you!
