Fairy In Wonderland is undoubtedly beautiful to look at and is full of quaint whimsy and traditional fairy tale iconography that seems to take its inspiration from a variety of famous fables.

The symbols are an enchanting mix of explorers, maidens, fluffy white rabbits with wings and ornately coloured birds of paradise. Even the traditional symbols of ten, jack, queen, king and ace get an eye-catching upgrade and are threaded with twine and colourful flowers.

The symbols sit against a slate grey reel set which itself is perched in the middle of an enchanted forest setting complete with swaying flowers and butterflies in constant motion.

A light mist breezes across the reels, and red leaves fall from the large tree that sits just behind the playing grid. A small wooden door at the base of the tree hints at magic and adventure waiting to be discovered.

The soundtrack is similarly well thought out and fits in perfectly with the overall ambience of the game.

There arethree bonus feature rounds in Fairy in Wonderland, including a free spins bonus round, and each of them is won via the mystery flower bonus.

Mystery Flower Bonus - the mystery flower bonus unlocks the bonus rounds on offer. A fairy on the first reel and an explorer on the last reel trigger the mystery flower bonus and award one of three bonuses. Players need to match two bonuses from the six available flowers to be granted the revealed bonus.

Wonderland Free Spins Bonus - eight free spins are awarded when two wonderland free spins bonus symbols are matched in the mystery flower bonus game. During the free games, the explorer will expand to fill the entire reel if he lands on either reel 2, 3 or 4. It will then also become wild, which could lead to some handsome wins. Castle Bonus - the castle bonus is awarded for matching two castle bonus symbols in the mystery flower bonus game. The castle bonus consists of two exciting rounds. There is certainly a lot going on in Fairy in Wonderland by Expanse Studios, and there’s no denying the obvious aesthetic appeal of the game. The bonus features are fairly decent, too, but it is hard to get away from the low RTP and high volatility, and this fairy tale game could very abruptly have a less than happy ending.
