Heroes Gathering is an online slot by Relax Gaming. It offers an RTP of 96.45% and is medium to high variance. The 5x3 reel setup offers a win of up to x400 in the base game across 20 betways. The symbols include wilds and scatters, whilst free spins, multipliers and a bonus game are available.
Heroes Gathering takes us deep into mediaeval times in this offering from game designer, Relax Gambling.
The 5x3 reel set contains nine paying symbols with the high payers being the gold framed knight, the wizard and the goblin. There is also a shield, a book of spells and a set of daggers in the silver second tier. Finally, there are three jewelled bronze coins.
A wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except the scatter which springs a bonus game when three appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. In this mode of the game, multipliers can be won. There is also a mini version prompted by two bonus tiles.
There are 20 paylines active left to right, and this medium to high variance game has an RTP of 96.45%.

Theme, Graphics and Soundtrack
This slot is based on a mediaeval theme with the main characters seeking to gather winnings on your behalf. The symbols are nicely designed and evoke this period in history, whilst having a storybook feel.
The reels are set on a table in an inn which has wooden cups of hot grog, gleaming coins, a bejewelled wand and a set of keys scattered across it. Look out for the cheeky mouse making an appearance.
The reels are surrounded by a board game track with some blank spaces and others representing the gold, silver and bronze framed symbols on the reels. A pawn is gleaming on the start square ready to take you on your search for riches in the bonus game.
The soundtrack is a gentle strings and drums composition suggesting a group of travelling minstrels.
Heroes Gathering RTP and Variance
This slot has a published RTP of 96.45% and should be considered medium to high variance. Consequently, wins are slow in the base game, but once in the bonus section of this slot, larger wins are available with multipliers kicking in.

Bet sizes and paytable wins
Bet sizes range from 0.10 to 100 units, whilst the paytable for five of a kind is as follows:
- 5x Knight = x20
- 5x Wizard = x15
- 5x Goblin = x10
- 5x Shield = x7.5
- 5x Book = x5
- 5x Daggers = x5
- 5x Bronze coins = x4
The base game offers a maximum win of x400, but with a x100 multiplier available in the bonus game, there is a maximum win of x4,000 available.
Heroes Gathering bonus features
The main board game bonus feature is won when you land three bonus symbols on reels one, three and five. Free spins are awarded and three amulets appear to the left of the board. The aim is to fill these amulets with their respective symbols, gold, silver and bronze. The pawn will move when the spinning wheel lands on reel three, and a number of moves between 1 and 6 will be awarded.
Landing on a corner space will result in a random multiplier being activated - x5, x10, x20 or x100. Once one of the amulets is filled with three pins, this feature will end and you will collect winnings from the amulet plus any amount won on the paylines during spins in this feature.
If two bonus symbols appear on reels 1,3 or 5, a mini version of this game will be triggered. In this game, once an amulet is activated, the other two will disappear. In this feature, once the spinning wheel appears on reel 3, it will also act as a wild. The corner multiplier of x100 does not feature in this mode of the game.
If you enjoy this feature, you can find other slots with a bonus game feature here at Slots Temple.
Heroes Gathering Review and Our Verdict
We enjoyed this slot, especially once we entered either of the board game features. Perhaps it lacks a skill element, but on the whole, it keeps the player entertained so long as the variance does not test your patience.
