Magical Moon isn’t entirely like regular slots. It doesn’t have five reels - it has six, starting with five rows but with another to unlock. You might think this means more ways to win, but it doesn’t need lines of matching symbols from left to right: it relies on scatter pays. This means that eight identical symbols can land anywhere on the reels to award a payout.

Magical Moon Bonuses

When you’re in the base game of Magical Moon, as in many modern slots, you have opportunities to trigger various bonus features and try and enhance your game. That includes cascading symbols, here called tumbles, and multiplier symbols to boost your win as well as the often sought-after free spins round.

Tumbles

What happens when you find winning symbols? Well, first they explode. Then old symbols fall, new symbols tumble from the top of the screen, and you have another chance to create a paying combination. The scatter symbol remains persistent and doesn’t explode during tumbles. Similar features in other slots may be called cascades or avalanches.

Unlike in other slots, tumbling also unlocks the top row. The first tumble frees the first position, then after three subsequent tumbles, the next position is unlocked and so forth until you have all six or the tumbles end.

Multipliers
