The fight, also called the Battle of Chibi, was a naval battle that took place during the winter months of AD 208-209 and was fought between forces of southern warlords Liu Qi, Liu Bei, and Sun Quan and the northern Cao Cao with his numerically-superior forces. The southern allied forces came out victorious and prevented Cao Cao from conquering areas to the south of the famous Yangtze River.

The action in this game is set on what looks like a flag or large scroll with the battle raging behind. The Yangtze rushes past as troops on horseback move to the shore and boats and then their crews get ready to engage in the battle.
