So Much Sushi Review
As the followup to Microgaming’s So Much Candy and So Many Monsters, So Much Sushi works just like its predecessors with a back-to-basics approach to slot gaming. There are no heavily animated introductions here - just pure and simple effective gameplay based on everyone’s favourite Japanese foodstuff.
If So Much Sushi isn’t your cup of (green) tea, you can try out the hundreds of other free slots games we have here at Slots Temple.
In keeping with Microgaming’s approach, So Much Sushi is optimized for mobile devices, so it’s just as easy to get cooking on your mobile and tablet as it is on your desktop browser.
Microgaming tends to design its games with the mobile player in mind, so the clean graphics and simple effects will be quick to load and smooth to run on any device.
Fire up the belt
So Much Sushi has the usual format of five reels and three rows for the basic gameplay, with betting across 25 paylines ranging from $5.00 all the way up to $100.00 per spin. The reels are set against a dark wooden background, and the symbols are - you guessed it - all related to the sushi theme.
There are the standard card values you would expect of 10, J, Q, K and A making up the lower-value symbols, and the high-value symbols include various types of sushi roll and nigiri, with the nori seaweed pouch of cod roe being the highest-value symbol of all.
The wild symbol is the So Much Sushi logo, and it has its own payout values in addition to being able to substitute for other symbols to make up winning combinations. The wild symbol can also act as a temporary multiplier if you can land three or more of them anywhere on the reels.
The only symbol it can’t stand in for is the scatter symbol, which is represented by the typical sushi condiments of a bottle of soy sauce and a bowl of wasabi.
Again, the scatter symbol has its own payout values, but it also triggers the free spins feature if you can land three, four or five of them anywhere on the reels.
Three or more of the soy sauce scatter symbol will activate the free spins bonus round in this game, where the number of spins you win is determined by a selected symbol. You could win between eight and 16 free spins, with the selected symbol replacing all high symbols for the duration of the bonus round.
You’ll also be pleased to know that you can retrigger the free spins bonus from within the feature.
Split the sushi
So Much Sushi also features the symbol splitting feature popular in many of Microgaming’s slots these days. Splitting symbols can significantly improve your winnings in this game, especially if one of the really high-paying symbols splits up.
You can make up a combination of up to 25 symbols on one payline after splitting, which can make for some astronomical wins!
