Gameplay and theme
Set against a pond like background, Merkur's Wild Frog is played over five reels and three rows of symbols. The game is played across five paylines and has fully adjustable wagering so you can set exactly the amount you want to bet on each spin. There is also the useful autostart feature where you can pre-set a number of spins to run whilst you just sit back and watch those reels spin.
Symbols
The lowest paying symbols in this game are the playing card numbers. In Wild Frog these are 9, 10, J, Q, K and A. The other basic symbols are based on the pond and frog theme. The well and lily pad will win you up to five times your initial bet. Reminiscent of the frog prince fairytale the next two symbols are a froggy sized crown and sceptre and they pay up to 10 times the wager. Finally, we come to the Wild Frog himself and land him in your paylines to win up to 20 times your bet. As in his name and the title of this slot, the frog symbol is a wild in this game. Once he lands on the screen he will also change a symbol next to him to a matching frog. This row of frogs can continue and create a block of wild symbols and seriously boost your winning combinations.
Double the gamble options
In this slots game Wild Frog there are two possible gamble mini-games that you can choose to access. Once a win appears across your reels you will find two gamble buttons appear alongside a collect button on your control panel.
The first is the gambling card game. Choose this and the mini-game is a simple pick the correct suit of the card that appears face down in front of you. Guess correctly to double your win. The other gamble game option is a cash ladder. The cash values flash higher and lower than your current win and you need to hit the button correctly to win the higher amount. If you guess correctly repeatedly you climb the ladder and hit the bigger wins. Even a wrong guess may only push you part of the way down the ladder and give you another chance to guess and climb back up again.
