Ara the Handsome has a myths and legends theme as Ara was an Armenian hero, who, according to legend, was so handsome that Semiramis the Assyrian Queen fell in love with him. When the Armenian King rejected her, the Semiramis gathered the Assyrian troops and invaded Armenia in an attempt to capture him. Despite an order to keep him alive, Ara was slain but in an effort to reduce conflict, the Queen prayed for the gods to raise him from the dead and disguised one of her lovers as Ara.
