Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

The scene is a moonlit roof of a...castle? The assembled Asgardians are typically cartoon-like and determined of jaw. They will save their town from whatever omnipresent evil force is threatening their very existence. They will throw cash at whoever can help them with a little distraction from this problem in the form of an online slot. Well, let’s hope so anyway.

The card symbols and the rainbow glow pleasingly against the deep blue of the background and reels.

So which superhero soundtrack have the Asgardians borrowed from? Superman? Batman? No - Robin Hood, as it turns out. There’s a distinct sound of panpipes to the whole affair. How to Play Asgardians

1. On the left side of the screen, click the menu icon to view the setting and game information. The i icon in the top left of the screen shows the paytable.

2. In this menu you can also set your Autospin options. There are a few options in here that can let you limit your losses, such as a percentage of balance decrease.

3. On the bottom right of the screen, click the large round button with the dollar sign to adjust your bet settings. You can adjust your total bet and your bet per line.

4. To start playing, exit the menu and use the large Spin button on the right side of the screen.

Along the bottom of the screen you can view your bet amount per line, lines played and total bet amount on the left side. On the right side, you can view your coin value and cash balance. The centre figure shows the amount of your last win.

Wild Asgardians

The Wild Green Asgardian can swoop in and save any combination win, but he can’t substitute for the Scatter and Bonus

Rainbow Rocket

The majestic Rainbow Rocket is the game’s Scatter Symbol, and in addition to the payline win, three or more of these symbols anywhere on the reels will trigger 10 Free Spins. And if you’re lucky enough to catch three more of this colourful symbol whilst you’re on a free spin, it will be retriggered.

Can You Feel The Forge

The Forge is the bonus game you’ll trigger if you catch three or more Bonus Symbols on a payline, left to right. Asgard’s Forge creates a powerful shield, and only Mjolnir can choose the best one. Once you pick a defective shield, the bonus game is over.

Risk Gamble

Just as in any Vegas casino, you can up the stakes and risk it all. With any Asgardians win, the Risk Game gamble feature is activated. If you want to just collect the amount you’ve already won, you click the Take Win option. Or if you want to gamble for more, you click on the Risk Game option.

You will then be presented with four cards and asked to pick one. Your card needs to beat the dealer’s card, and if it does, then your win will be doubled. You can keep doing this until you lose or you reach a limit of 10x your original payout. As soon as you lose, this feature will end.

Our Verdict

If superheroes and fantasy slots are your cup of tea, this game will certainly appeal to you visually and thematically.

The bonus features are solid and make good use of the characters, which may be an obvious comment, but so any slots fall short on this with disjointed features that bear no relation to the narrative.

There are some very small payouts, and without an established volatility rating it’s difficult to know whether a run of only small wins could become lengthy and quite tedious.
