Theme and Graphics

Beat the Beast Ceberus’ Inferno takes place in one of the deepest layers of Hell, with reels surrounded by fire and brimstone. There’s a very tense soundtrack playing as you spin the reels, which makes for an epic online gaming experience.

This is the third entry in Thunderkick’s Beat the Beast series, with the first two games focus on other mythical creatures, the Kraken and the Sphinx. It’s a very interesting series, as each game takes a look at a different type of mythology – but all three games have similar design and gameplay elements which bring them together.

RTP and Variance

Beat The Beast: Cerberus’ Inferno has an RTP of 96.15%. This is about average for today’s online slot releases. It is also a bit higher than the payout percentages of Mighty Sphinx (96.14%) and Kraken’s Lair (96.12%).

It is also a high variance online slot game. So, you’ll notice that you may not land too many wins but when you do, they can be very lucrative. Also, the free spins round isn’t as elusive as it can be in other slots games.

How to Win

Landing three or more matching symbols on any of the game’s 9 paylines will provide you with payouts as you spin the reels on this slot. The scatter is the most generous symbol in the game, awarding a prize of 200x for a five-of-a-kind combo while the blue Cerberus symbol provides top payout of 150x. The rest of the symbols in the game aren’t nearly as generous, as the next highest-paying symbol awards a top prize of 50x – but that’s generally how payouts are structured in a high volatility slot.  Overall, the top prize available in Beat the Beast Cerberus’ Inferno is worth 6666x your total wager.

Free Spins and Bonuses

Stacked wilds are the main bonus feature that you’ll encounter while playing this slot. The wild symbol will always appear in stacks to help you land wins more frequently.

When you land three bonus symbols, you’ll be taken to the free spins round. You’ll get 10 free spins during which the number of winning ways expands from 9 to 243.

It might not sound like the most thrilling gaming experience, but Beat the Beast Cerberus’ Inferno really is quite fun. The stacked wilds really ramp up the excitement and the free spins bonus does come around pretty frequently.

Overall Review

Of all the Beat the Beast games, Cerberus’ Inferno is the most basic – but, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Kraken’s Lair and Mighty Sphinx are both very feature-rich games, so this one isn’t really lacking anything per say; it just has a bit more of a classic feel to it.

That’s why we like this series, because Beat the Beast aims to cater to all types of players. While Kraken’s Lair has expanding wins and Mighty Sphinx has upgraded symbols, Cerberus’ Inferno has stacked wilds. So, it does seem to be geared more towards players with traditional slots tastes.

Just having simple stacked wilds might sound a bit boring in comparison, but all wilds are guaranteed to be stacked so the feature really does ramp up the excitement. The free spins round also appears fairly frequently (we triggered it twice in 100 spins), so that’s another positive that you may be able to look forward to.
