The game is set against an ancient Greek backdrop of historical buildings and blue skies. There aren't really any reels as such - the gaming screen is made up of something more like a board, with four rows of four symbols, giving you 16 symbols in total. The only symbol in the game is a gold coin showing the image of a Greek goddess. The coins spin, then land either face-up or face-down - if they're face down they don't count, so your aim is to fill as many paylines as possible with winning face-up coins.
How to play Coin of Gods
It's extremely simple to play Merkur's Coin of Gods, as there are very few choices to make before you get started. The game has 10 fixed paylines, so you will always be betting on all 10 lines. You can change your bet size, however, by clicking on the plus and minus buttons alongside the total bet display. When you're happy with your bet, hit the spin button and watch the coins begin to flip. There is a handy Max Bet button if you want to bet the maximum amount instantly.

As mentioned previously, there aren't really any special features in this game, other than the admittedly exciting gamble feature. This is triggered every time you win a cash sum in regular gameplay. You might have seen gamble features pop up in other slots, but this one is a little different. While you will still be given the option of collecting your winnings immediately, or gambling, you will have to choose from two separate games if you opt to gamble. You will be invited to choose from the card game and the ladder game. The card game is a fairly standard offering, and you'll be asked to decide whether you think the next card drawn from a deck will be red or black. Guess right and you'll double your winnings and get another go, but guess wrongly and you'll lose your prize.
