Eastern dragons
In this five-reel slot with three rows and up to 20 paylines, you’ll need to match up symbols to get closer to the dragon’s treasure. The board is set against an opulent red and gold background, with golden dragon statues sitting on top of the reels.
The low-value symbols are stylized versions of the card values 9, 10, J, Q, K and A, and the high-value symbols are a koi carp, a yellow paper lantern, a pink lotus flower, and some firecrackers.
There is also a scatter symbol, which is represented by a golden medallion inscribed with Chinese writing. This is a simple scatter that just pays out if you land two, three, four or five anywhere on the reels.
Scatter wins are multiplied by your total stake rather than your stake per line as line wins are awarded, so scatter wins do mean bigger prizes.
Eastern Dragon also has a bonus feature, but this is all connected to the wild symbol as opposed to the scatter.
Wild dragons
The wild symbol in the base game is the golden dragon symbol itself, and it can substitute for any of the other symbols to make up winning combinations. When a winning combination includes the wild dragon symbol, the prize it yields will automatically be doubled. The only symbol the wild symbol can’t stand in for is the golden medallion scatter symbol.
The wild dragon symbol only appears on reel one and reel five, but if you’re lucky enough to land a dragon anywhere on both of these reels at once, you’ll be awarded with 15 free spins as a bonus round in addition to any wins to be paid out. During these 15 free spins, any prize you win will automatically be subject to a x3 multiplier.
The normal wild multiplier used in the base game still applies here, which means that if you make a winning combination using a wild dragon symbol during the free spins bonus round, the x3 multiplier for the free spins and the x2 multiplier for the dragon symbol will both be in effect, leading to any win you make in this way being multiplied by six.
You can also retrigger the free spins bonus round and win yourself another 15 free spins simply by landing the wild dragon symbol anywhere on both reel one and reel five again. It’s that simple!
