Get ready to find out more about the most (un)secretive group in the world with Illuminati, a new game from the developers at German software company Merkur Gaming. It features five reels and five paylines - and wins of up to 8,000 coins! If you spin the reels right, you will find riches beyond your wildest dreams; however, if you do not crack the code, you will never experience the intriguing Illuminati feature.
Will you find out the secrets?
The Illuminati has done a pretty terrible job of keeping itself hidden from the public; in fact, it is possible that it is the most famous ‘secret’ cult in the world. This is partially due to books and films such as National Treasure and Dan Brown's epic Angels and Demons, of course; either way, the secret society is no longer secret. Thankfully, the real society ended a long time ago. It was formed by a group of educated scholars who lived in Bavaria during the Enlightenment period, who regularly met up to discuss the failings of religion and the current monarchy. The members were basically forced to be secretive; otherwise, it is very likely that they would have ended up dead!
Overall, we like the theme for this Merkur game, as it has an ominous and intriguing aspect. The game has a strong cult feel to it, with symbols that include a red hooded cloak, the Eye of Providence triangle, and a red wax seal. There is also a wild symbol, which is represented by a pyramid with the Eye of Providence above it. This symbol can be used to add extra wilds to the reels to increase the chance of a winning combination, so it is definitely worth keeping an eye out for it - excuse the pun! From a visual standpoint, the game is fairly basic; however, this fits in well with the secret theme of the game.
Players can expect to find more small frequent wins with this game than occasional big wins, which will suit some players but not all. Thankfully you can give the wins a little boost using one of the gamble features. The first gives you the chance to double your prize; however, be warned that you will lose all your winnings if you lose. The second gamble feature offers a selection of prizes that you can climb up or drop down.
This is a pretty good game with enjoyable gameplay, but it does feel a little sparse. The visuals are fairly basic and the bonus features are fun but not particularly original. After a few spins you might start to think that the game is a little repetitive. It is still an enjoyable game, and some players will love the basic format - especially the second gamble feature, as it is less risky than a standard gamble feature.
You should definitely give the game a go if you are interested in the Illuminati. Illuminati can be played on desktop, mobile and tablet devices and is totally free to enjoy, just like the other slots on our site.
