Embark on an odyssey

One of the most famous works of poetry ever written, Homer’s Odyssey is an ancient Greek literary work of art. Merkur's Odyssee draws its inspiration from the poem that tells the story of the hero Odysseus as he tries to return to his throne on the island of Ithaca at the end of the Trojan war. Along the way he must navigate all the perils of the Aegean Sea, including getting captured by a Cyclops, seduced by a nymph, and shipwrecked and stranded! When he finally makes it home, he discovers his wife, who assumed he was dead, has begun to look for a new husband! This is quite a tale indeed, and one well deserving of a slots game themed on it.

Meet the cast and crew

On the five reels of Odyssee you will come face to face with the key characters from this famous story. There is the Cyclops Polyphemus, Calypso the nymph, the hero himself, and his beguiling wife Penelope. The Greek theme is resplendent throughout, with the Greek-style lettering and old stone-style reels complete with geometric lettering setting the scene.
