Introduction

Pixie Magic is a five-reel, 243-way game from Nucleus Gaming with a charming fairy theme and a host of bonus features. These include a free spins feature with a buy-in option and bonus buy coin, as well as magical respins, stacked wilds, scatter wins, scattered wild wins and a gamble option. 

Theme & Story 

Folk tales about fairies and pixies arose in many European cultures stretching back to the pre-Christian era. Our view of fairies and pixies comes from the Celtic Revival that occurred during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. The idea of woodland areas populated by small magical creatures is still common in literature and the arts, delighting people of every age with the belief that they may be lucky enough to encounter the magic of such creatures. In this game a trio of beautiful pixies are key to getting the biggest wins. The slot game has a gorgeous setting: beyond the reels lies a lily pond, deep within an enchanted emerald forest. The reels themselves are purple with gold detailing and edging. Within the reels you’ll see a series of magical symbols appear, including three pixies, potions, an orb, toadstools and sprites.

How to Play Pixie Magic

1. Start by locating the Total Bet option below the reels. Use the arrows either side to select a bet of between 0.20 and 10.00. 
2. To the lower right you’ll find the Auto button. Click this to choose a number of automated spins. From this pop-up menu you can also adjust your bet, view the paytable and change the game settings. 
3. To the right of the Auto button is the gamble feature button (x2). Hit this after any win for a chance to gamble your winnings.
4. To the right of the x2 button is the buy-in feature button. This costs between 14.00 and 700. 
5. When you are ready, hit the large yellow SPIN button below the reels.

Pixie Magic Bonus Features

Lotus Wild

The Lotus Wild substitutes for all symbols apart from the Silver Pixie and Bonus Buy Coin. Unlike most games, the wild can actually substitute for the Crimson Pixie Scatter and help to form scatter wins. Only one wild per reel can substitute for a scatter. In fact, the Lotus Wild will also pay out Scatter wins when it lands more than three times anywhere on the reels.

Stacked Wilds and Magical Respins

The Lotus Wild may stack at any time. When it stacks it turns a full reel wild and triggers a Magical Respin.

Crimson Pixie Scatter

The Crimson Pixie loves chaos. If three or more land on the reels, you're in for an instant scatter win.

Silver Pixie

The Silver Pixie is the Queen of the Fairies. If she lands on the first and fifth reels, she will trigger the free spins feature. Players will enjoy 15 free spins.

Buy-in and Bonus Buy Coin

Rather than wait for the Silver Pixie, you can buy in to the free spins feature at any time. The current cost of the buy-in (for 12 free spins) is based on your bet and displayed to the lower right-hand side. However, every time you land a Bonus Buy Coin, that amount reduces by a random amount and you can take advantage of this lower cost at any time. If it reduces all the way to zero, 12 free spins will automatically trigger.

Gamble Feature

The gamble feature is available in the base game only. You can choose to gamble 50% of your winnings in this simple coin flip (heads/tails).

Overall Pixie Magic Review

A sumptuous game with plenty of bonus features, some of the things we really loved at Pixie Magic were the magical respin, wild scatter pays and, of course, the free spins feature. We also love games that have a buy-in feature, especially here where there is also a Bonus Buy Coin that reduces the amount.
