Game Theme & Storyline

The Kohinoor is the largest and most valuable cut diamond in the world. Discovered in India sometime between the 12th and 14th century AD, ownership was taken up by the British Government after Queen Victoria’s annexation of India in 1848. Today, it is part of the British Crown Jewels and is thought to bring bad luck to the wearer, but let’s forget about that! Whether it should be returned to India or remain in England is still under debate. It has starred (not in person) in various popular culture outlets including an episode of Doctor Who, an Agatha Christie novel and Moonstone, the first detective novel.

The design inspiration for the game hails from the Indian subcontinent. The style applies to all aspects of the game from the font to the symbols and the background beyond. The reels are placed between two ornate arched windows, which look out to a view of palaces and a pink-hued sunset. We don’t know where this is exactly, but it could easily be Rajasthan, where India’s best palaces are located. The symbols include a series of gems in the shape of the four card suits, as well as the Hindu god Ganesha, the Taj Mahal, a prince and a princess. A sitar-inspired soundtrack is the perfect accompaniment to the game.

How to Play Return of the Kohinoor

1. Choose to activate 1, 5, 10, 15 or 20 lines.

2. Then select a bet per line of 1-20.

3. Then choose a demonization (coin value) of between 0.01 and 1.

4. The Coin Value x Bet Per Line x Lines gives you the Total Bet which can range from 0.01 to a maximum possible bet of 400.

5. Use the Music and Volume buttons at the top of the reels to adjust the sounds.

The wild symbol in this game, a gem encrusted headdress, is integral to the game. All it takes is two or more adjacent wilds to trigger the Mega Wild feature. Each wild will expand, with both possibly expanding large enough to combine as one, potentially filling the reels with a 5x3 symbol.

Gamble Feature

Pleasingly this game has a Gamble feature. Available on every win, the Gamble button will flash when the time comes that you can use it. There is no question about the sumptuous design of this game. Beautiful as it is, the bonus features are a tad thin on the ground.
