Introduction

Runes of Destiny has a 5x3 reel setup and offers up 20 paylines on which to land wins. The game features 10 symbols made up of five lower-paying rune symbols, three higher-paying picture symbols plus two special symbols. The Scatter symbol pays out for three scatters anywhere on the reels and triggers the Free Spins. It appears in the base game only. The Wild substitutes for all the regular-paying symbols, pays for three or more and appears in the bonus features as well as the base game. Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

Runes of Destiny is an action-packed slot with a Viking/mythology/fantasy theme focusing specifically on Loki and Odin. In Viking mythology, Loki was a trickster God, with the cunning ability to shapeshift. He was a companion of Odin and his son Thor, and Loki sometimes helped Thor and Odin, often caused chaos and difficulty for them, and was also represented as their enemy. This game focuses on runes, which were the letters/symbols Vikings used to write with. Runes were inscribed on stones called rune stones, which were commonly used as magical charms for protection and healing. 

Evoplay has done a great job with the theme here, with sharp and smooth graphics and great details immediately adding to the theme and giving the game a high-quality feel. On the left side of the reels stands an enormous Viking, complete with axes and ready for battle. The reels are full of Viking-themed symbols, with shields, hammers and helmets as well as a selection of Viking rune stones. The reels themselves look really impressive, as rather than spinning reels, the symbols on huge stones fall from the top and the reels are encased by colossal carved stones. 

There are some great animations that keep the game lively, and an atmospheric musical soundtrack accompanies play.

How to play Runes of Destiny

1. The game controls for Runes of Destiny are along the bottom of the game screen.
2. In the bottom right corner, you can find two icons. Pressing either of these will open the main settings menu. From here, you can view or adjust:

   -Game settings (sound, visual and input settings)
   -Sound
   -Turbo mode
   -Full-screen mode
3. You can adjust your bet by using the arrows to either side of the Bet window or click the icon showing the stack of coins. 
4. You can view your balance and win at the bottom of the reels.
5. Click on the Auto symbol to the right of the Spin button to turn the Autoplay function on and keep the reels spinning. Choose the number of spins and stop/loss limits.

Bet Sizes & Paytable Wins 

Runes of Destiny allows players to bet a minimum bet of 0.1 and a maximum of 500. 

The lower-paying rune stone symbols pay out between 0.1 and 0.5 for three on a payline, up to 2 to 8 for five on a payline.

The following random events can occur during the base game:

Odin’s Grace

After a winning spin, Odin can strike the reels with lightning and awards a random multiplier between 2x and 10x, which will apply to the win.

Loki’s Meanness

After a losing spin 5 of the standard, paying symbols are replaced by five random identical symbols, providing an extra chance for wins. 

Free Spins

If you land three or more Scatter symbols, it will activate the Free Spins bonus. There are 2 special rune symbols on the reels in this feature: Loki’s rune and Odin’s rune. During the Free Spins bonus, you need to collect three of one kind to trigger the special re-spin features. Odin’s Runes provide three Re-spins with a Sticky Wild, and Loki’s Runes offer three Re-spins with a Wild Replace.
