Gameplay and theme

Based entirely around a scientific theme, the background to Elk's The Lab is a space vortex or black hole. This spins, pulling in the stars and space matter around it, and it gives the game a sci-fi modern feel. The reels actually look like the symbols are hanging in deep space, as the spiral spins constantly behind them.
