There’s something about wolves that really captures our imagination. They’re such beautiful creatures, and of course we have an affinity with them because so many of us welcome dogs into our homes. Wild Wolf features are extremely thin on the ground. There’s no Wild symbol, so you’ll need to land three matching symbols on a payline to win a prize, and there won’t be any symbols to give you a helping hand. That’s not particularly unusual for an online slots game, though, so we don’t think it will be causing any sleepless nights!

When it comes to bonus features Betixon are being incredibly reticent. The game’s rules clearly state that landing three Wildlings or three Wolves on a payline will trigger a bonus round. Unfortunately, they give not so much as a hint as to what form these bonuses might take.

Slots developers usually can’t wait to broadcast their game features, so the lack of bonus information is particularly questionable. In an attempt to uncover the details for ourselves, we settled down to spin the reels of the game and trigger the bonus rounds ourselves. Sad to say that over 200 spins later we were still no closer to finding out what the bonus rounds are all about.

So digging deeper we went searching online for clues. Sadly, this didn’t enlighten us in any way - although we found plenty of game reviewers who were also claiming it was well-nigh impossible to trigger the features! It’s a real shame, as slots players like to know what might be in store for them, but Betixon are in no rush to shed any light on the matter.

Overall Review

Although Wild Wolf looks an incredibly promising game when it first launches, we felt it turned out to be a bit of a damp squib once we got down to spinning the reels. There are certainly some decent cash prizes to be won, but we found the gameplay distinctly lacklustre. The lack of basic information about the bonus rounds, combined with the impossibility of activating either of them, was frustrating, as was Betixon’s refusal to elaborate on the bonuses involved.

For our money we’ll be sticking to playing the Wolf Gold demo slot. It’s more fun, more engaging and there are clear bonus games that are fairly easy to trigger.
