The slot’s bonuses and features include a locking re-spin feature with a progressive multiplier, and a lower-paying symbol removal feature.
Ancient’s Blessing is a video slot from Red Tiger Gaming that mixes a fantasy theme with what looks to be ancient mythology - and, as is so often the case with Red Tiger’s games - Ancient’s Blessing looks fantastic, with the graphics and visuals putting many of the smaller software providers to shame.
In this Ancient’s Blessing slot review, we’re going to be taking a close look at what the game has to offer - kicking things off with a look at the game’s format, and the different betting options you’ll find available to you.
Format and Betting Options
Ancient’s Blessing is built around a 5-reel, 4-row format, and there are 30 fixed paylines in play at all times. (Fixed, means that you’re unable to change the number of paylines active during the gameplay.) It’s a fairly common layout - and one that Red Tiger Gaming utilises in quite a few of their video slots.
When it comes to betting options, Ancient’s Blessing caters to players on all types of budget; the minimum bet is very low, allowing you to spin the reels from as little as 0.10 credits per spin! The maximum bet is 40 credits - so low, when compared against other video slots - but high enough that the vast majority of players should be able to find a stake size that suits them.
Graphics and Theme
As with any Red Tiger Gaming slot, Ancient’s Blessing is impeccably designed; the graphics render in full HD, and a stunning selection of animations accompany winning spins and the main bonuses and features.
Theme-wise, Ancient’s Blessing has clearly been developed around a fire-y dragon theme - and we feel the software provider has done an excellent job with the visuals and creatives of the slot; it looks great, and is a really immersive slot!
Ancient’s Blessing’s RTP and Volatility
One of the things that we found slightly strange when putting this review of Ancient’s Blessing together, was that the game is classified as being highly volatile - despite it offering a maximum win of just 2,175X your stake. Usually, with win-potential so low (and yes, in today’s online gambling world that’s classified as low), you’d expect the math model to be low or medium in variance. So, to us, at least, it’s strange that Ancient’s Blessing is classified as a volatile slot.
When it comes to RTP, Ancient’s Blessing comes in at 95.72%. However, something we should point out is that Ancient’s Blessing is a Red Tiger Gaming video slot; this means it’s made available to online casinos in different RTP settings.
There’s two bonuses and features to be found within Ancient’s Blessing, and, as we’re used to seeing in most of the software provider’s slots, both features are pretty fun-to-play and full on! Let’s take a look at what both of the bonuses and features entail - and what you can expect when triggering them for yourself, below.
This is the more bland of the two bonuses and features found within Ancient’s Blessing - and, subsequently it’s generally the lesser-paying of the two. That being said, it’s actually a pretty decent one - and, when it triggers, it can end up paying out some fairly decent wins!
This bonus round is triggered randomly during any base-game spin, and when it triggers, all of the lower-paying symbols will be completely removed from the reels. This leaves only the higher-paying symbols behind - and on the following cascade (when new symbols drop down into view), only higher-paying symbols can land.
Locked Ancients Feature
This feature is activated whenever you manage to form a win using one of the game’s higher-paying symbols. When this happens, the symbols involved with the win are locked into place, and a re-spin is awarded. On the re-spin, if one or more of the locked symbols drops down into view, it will also lock in place - and an additional re-spin is awarded. It’s possible for more than one symbol to lock in.
Where things start to get interesting is the progressive multiplier. Each time you get an additional re-spin, the multiplier will increase by +1 - and this multiplier can increase up to 20X, with each new re-spin awarded, offering some fairly decent win-potential!
Ancient’s Blessing Review
Ancient’s Blessing is a good-looking slot, there’s no doubt about that - but, then again, that’s something we’ve come to expect from all of Red Tiger Gaming’s releases. The graphics look great, and we do really like how the software provider has chosen to position the game in terms of its theme - and how the graphics and sound effects fit in alongside.
We also like the bonuses and features found within the game. While they’re not incredibly creative, they’re quite a lot of fun - and, due to the fact that the game isn’t overly volatile, the bonuses and features in Ancient’s Blessing tend to trigger quite a lot - so it’s a decent slot for those looking for a game which offers regular gameplay and regular features.
Unfortunately, though, the win-potential in Ancient’s Blessing is really low - and, especially when compared with the vast majority of video slots we’re seeing pushed out today - it doesn’t come close in terms of potential. This is likely going to be a major turn-off for quite a large number of players, and we think, ultimately, this low win-potential is going to end up preventing Ancient’s Blessing from being the popular slot it could have been were it, for example, to offer win-potential of 5000x or more.

While, for the past few years, we’ve become used to seeing Red Tiger Gaming offering video slots with significant win-potential, Ancient’s Blessing goes against the grain of what we’ve seen the software provider doing in recent years - and that’s because the game offers a surprisingly low maximum win of just 2,175X your stake.
What’s the RTP of Ancient’s Blessing?
By default, Ancient’s Blessing comes with an RTP of 95.72%. Now, the reason that we use the word default is that Red Tiger is one of the software providers who offer their games in varying RTP settings.
What are the betting limits in Ancient’s Blessing?
You’re able to play the game from as little as 0.10 credits per spin - a figure low enough that players on all budgets will be able to enjoy the action. The maximum bet is a little lower than we’re used to seeing - 40 credits
What bonuses and features will I find in Ancient’s Blessing?
You’ll find a number of bonuses and features inside Ancient’s Blessing, and all of these bonuses and features are well-made - and, from what we saw while writing this Ancient’s Blessing slot review, they tend to trigger quite frequently. The Ancient Supremacy feature, for example, can trigger at any time during the base-game - and when it comes, all of the lower-paying symbols are removed from the reels, leaving behind only the higher-paying symbols. There’s also a locking wins mechanic, which combines a progressive multiplier - allowing for some impressive wins!
