Aztec Clusters Slot Review

Aztec Clusters is a video slot designed by BGaming. As the title suggests, it has an Aztec theme but here winning symbols are removed and replaced in a tumble sequence. When symbols are removed, they mark their cell and if the next win happens on a marked cell a progressive win multiplier is added.

The base game is presented on a 6x8 reel lay out and features cluster pays when five or more matching winning symbols are connected vertically or horizontally. The maximum total win is x10,000. 

There is a scatter symbol which triggers free spins and then changes into either a wild or a x10 cell multiplier. Wild, booster and destroyer symbols can also be dug up with the wild sticking and the latter two upgrading multipliers or destroying lower value symbols.

Theme

This is another of the slots which has an Aztec theme, but here the grid sits against two waterfalls which reflect the falling symbols which fill empty spaces on the grid created when winning combinations are formed.

The top value symbols are colourful masks and these are backed by gems.

Soundtrack

We hear the waterfalls and some animal life in the background but the main tune is a classic pipes and drum medley.

Here is a quick guide to the controls.

1. You can set your wager in the total bet window using the “+” and “-“ buttons. The minimum bet is 0.25.


2. On the right of the reels you can adjust spin settings and sound levels.


3. Now click on information on the far left of the dashboard and open a mini menu.

How to Win at Aztec Clusters

Cluster Pays

When at least five matching winning symbols are linked vertically and horizontally to form a cluster they form a winning combination. When they are removed, cells are marked and new symbols tumble from above.

Winning Symbols

There are seven winning symbols in all and the purple mask is the top value one, paying x120 the stake when 15 or more appear in a cluster.
