Racoon Tales Review
This is a multi-level game, with a racoon travelling through the forest along a path that is interconnected with activity on the reels.
He will need the power you build up on the reels to battle the monsters who threaten his progress. He will reward you richly...
This game is free to play in demo mode and we recommend this to familiarise yourself before you decide to play for real at an online casino.
Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack
Of course, the hero racoon is cute. While the game will obviously appeal to fans of the 80s and 90s racoon cartoons, the world he inhabits and the graphic style owe more to the Playstation character Rayman.
The sharp graphics, of course, bring the whole game up to date. The muted background colours bring the brighter pastels of the reels to the front and centre.
The soundtrack is whimsical and forgettable, but who cares?
Racoon Tales RTP and Variance

Racoon Tales Bonus Features
Battles with Monsters
There are five types of Monster threatening our stripy hero. When he defeats them, 5 bonus mechanics are activated to assist you on the reels:
A vertical and horizontal line of the same symbol
A 3x3 area consisting of the same symbols
Between five and nine randomly placed Wild Symbols
A Wild on each reel
Two Key Symbols
Your Racoon sidekick is likely to use up a lot of energy fighting the Monsters on your behalf, but sometimes, he can take a sneaky nap on the ground and still bring in one of these three types of bonus…
Big Wild: a 2x2 area on the reels consisting solely of Wild Symbols
Pleasant Surprise: A random symbol sneaks into the centre of the reels, then suddenly they’re everywhere!
Key: A valuable key symbol appears on the reels
This feature sees racoon visit the cave to face the dragon. Well, one of three Dragons.
Green Dragon: will boost your winnings by at least x2, but maybe up to x6.
Blue Dragon: drops Double Wilds onto the reels, in vertically adjacent spaces, starting with 2, ending with 6.
Red Dragon: up to 4 symbols may convert to a Wild, building up to 20 valuable transformations!
If the racoon defeats the dragon before you run out of Free Spins, you will get a x50 multiplier.
The multicoloured Wild Symbol will substitute for any other symbol on the reels apart from the Key.
If you can get three Key Symbols anywhere on the reels, this will activate 10 Free Spins.
This is a completely different kind of game, so whilst it does use an animal slot theme, the gameplay has much more in common with match 3 type games such as Bejeweled and Candy Crush.
The array of features available is dazzling, and the gameplay is absorbing. If you usually swerve any cutesy looking slots, don’t be deceived. This is not a slot that favours style over substance.
The decent RTP and high volatility make this game anything but tame. It will give newbies a thrilling ride but is slick and clever enough to keep the most hardened players on their toes.
The unique board coupled with a platform-style game running in parallel is a unique take on slot gameplay. We would love other developers to take note and up their game. Until then, we’re happy with our new stripy buddy and look forward to whatever Evoplay comes up with next.
