Game description
The Book is visually pleasing and inventive with some surprising extra features while maintaining the classic blueprint of a video slot machine game. On loading the game, the initial screen immediately advises you of the exciting wilds, bonuses and maximum potential wins. The Book boasts alternating wilds of the playing card symbols ten, jack, queen, king and ace. In addition, there are a maximum 135 free spins available if the right scatter symbol combination is drawn and extra free spins may be won in the bonus free spin round. Continuing on from this page, which can be closed off for the next time you access the game if you prefer, takes you to the main playing screen.
The backdrop is a mystical, candlelit library, with bubbling potions and glittering gems on the shelves, and peering around the five reels is a wizard character. The five reels are displayed over three rows and contain symbols including the cards as mentioned, a variety of animals including a dragon, the wizard himself and a row of books which is the scatter symbol for free spins. The scatter symbol may only appear on rows two, three and four. As you would expect, the wizard and animals deliver the best returns but the rewards for the other symbols are not ungenerous.
There is an extra element to the alternating wilds. This is created by the Magical Wild Book feature, and when one of the playing cards is changed into a wild by this feature every other matching symbol will become a wild too. There are ten paylines and you may choose how many you wish to play with for each spin. Autoplay is available at intervals up to and including 100 spins. Additional settings include a spacebar spin and fast spin which can be accessed in the main menu.
