Xterminate Slot Review

Xterminate is one of the slots from the Thunderkick stable of games. This dystopian game has plenty of surprises, but Dr Who fans will be relieved, or possibly disappointed, to find there are no Daleks around. 

The base game is played on a 6x6 reel set on which all winning symbols act as a scatter symbol and pay out when at least eight appear anywhere on the reels. Winning symbols are removed from the reels after a successful game and replaced with an avalanche mechanism.

There is a progressive multiplier above the reels which increases on each avalanche. The bomb is a special symbol which explodes to remove all symbols other than the most common, wilds and other bomb symbols. The wild can have between one and three lives, but when those expire it disappears from the grid.

Theme

The game is one of those slots with a strong theme, and in this case it is distinctly dystopian. In the background we see marauding crowds and a cityscape ablaze. The reels are set in a steel frame with security wire wrapped around and the eponymous Xterminate slogan above.

Symbols

The main winning symbols include robots and masked protesters along with weapons such as clubs and cans of gas. The card symbols are graffitied on to sections of wall, and the overall feel is of a catastrophic future event.

Soundtrack 

The soundtrack is a perfect match for the theme of the game and could grace any futuristic Hollywood movie.

How to Win at Xterminate

Scatter Payments

The game pays anywhere when at least eight or more standard winning symbols appear anywhere on the reels.

Winning Symbols

There are nine winning symbols in all with the Robot the top-value symbol paying x7 the total wager when 12 or more appear anywhere on the reels.

Xterminate Multiplier

Each win is multiplied by the Xterminate multiplier and then added back to the multiplier. The final multiplier pays as a multiple of the stake at the end of the avalanche sequence.
