Introduction 

Step back into the era of neon lights, electronic music and big hairdos with World Match's Disco 80 HD. Gameplay-wise, this is a no-frills slot. It comes with five reels, three rows and a simple Free Spins game triggered by a Scatter. Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack 

World Match have gone all out for an unashamed '80s theme, with a soundtrack taking its inspiration from various electronic tracks of the time. The reels are packed with icons from the decade ranging from the cool to the not-so-cool! 

Shutter shades, a workout outfit complete with leg warmers, a mullet haircut, an illuminated cocktail sign and a neon star jostle for attention on the reels with a boombox, an audio cassette and a Rubik's Cube. The Lips logo and the yellow Smiley face might not strictly have originated in the '80s, but they fit in well with the theme. The symbols don't animate in this game; wins are shown by the win lines superimposed across the reels. Along with ultraviolet dancing figures flanking the reels on a background of disco lights, the game is a bright, multicoloured collage of everything you might love (or hate) about the era. The standard of graphics on Disco 80 is nowhere near that of some of the other World Match slots, but that may be intentional - it screams '80s and does the job well.

The RTP is a little more generous than average with 97.72%. However, the variance is unknown.

How to Play Disco 80 HD

1. Once the game loads, you'll be taken straight to the reels. The payline configuration is highlighted briefly, prompting you to select the number of lines you want to bet on.
2. Paylines default to 25, but you can change this to 1, 5, 10 or 15 lines with the Lines button.
3. Next, change your bet level. The total bet per spin will change depending on the bet level and number of lines selected.
4. Using the Max bet button will automatically start a spin with a bet of 25 credits (1 credit for 25 lines). Subsequent spins will be at the maximum bet level.
5. If you want to play faster, you can use the Turbo feature. To toggle to Turbo, press and hold down the Spin button. Turbo speeds up the reel animation.
6. Disco 80 HD's Autoplay feature can be set for up to 1000 automatic spins. At the time of testing, there was no option to set loss limits, so be ready to stop Autoplay before you need to, especially if the Turbo setting has been enabled.

Disco80 Bonus Features 

Disco 80 HD has a Free Spins feature, which is triggered when three or more Free Spins Scatters land. The Scatters will trigger the bonus anywhere on the reels but will only pay out if they land along one of the winning paylines. Getting 3 or more Free Spins Scatters will grant you 12 Free Spins, during which every win is doubled. The Free Spins cannot be retriggered during the Free Spins round.

Disco80 review

Visually, Disco 80 HD is eye-catching if nothing else, although the designs on the reels when put together are so busy that you might not notice the Scatters amongst them when they do come in.
