Rat Kingdom review: introduction 

Rat Kingdom is an online slot from the developers at 5Men Gaming. Following an animal theme, the slot takes a crack at showing social norms and the businessman’s lifestyle. With this strange mix, players can use the 20 paylines and five reels to win prizes; what’s more, there are a number of bonus features that can be activated throughout the game to boost your winnings. Overall theme 

Rat Kingdom is an animal themed slot that revolves around one of the more disliked rodents out there. The rat is the king of this kingdom, with other strange animal symbols appearing on the reels. This is clearly a take on society and the faults it has, but this hasn’t been portrayed well in Rat Kingdom. The theme is confusing and dark, and the graphics are poor. Extra bet 

Play the extra bet feature to activate the frog sitting on the TV. When the round is activated, the TV will turn on and the frog will turn from black and white to colour. This symbol can only land on the second and fourth reels. Gamble feature

Our verdict 

Rat Kingdom is a bit of a strange game for us. The theme seems negative and the animations don’t make much sense. It has also been poorly rendered graphically, so it falls short in this area too. With a low RTP and not many bonus features, players may find this kingdom to be lacking in gameplay opportunities. It is not the best example of a 5 Men Gaming free play slots game.
