Introduction

The main feature of Vikings Mega Reels is the reel layout. In normal play, it is a 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7 set of rows across six reels. This means the slot generates 250 pay lines.

Our Verdict

Viking Mega Reels is a slot that grabs your attention from the moment you open it up, given the layout of the reels stacked in an increasing number of rows. Does this array of symbols offer anything different during game play? The jury is out.

The absence of a genuine bonus game is a bit of a drawback, and this is not compensated for by the Free Spins feature. The lack of multipliers is also a drawback. We also found the soundtrack inauthentic and frankly annoying, but at least you can mute this so it does not spoil the enjoyment of the game.

On the plus side, the way the reels flip during Free Spins mode makes the game more exciting, and the fact that more Wilds are available in this section of the game does offer the chance of more winning lines. Having 250 lines does open up more winning opportunities.

The RTP of 96.02% is healthy enough, and the stacked symbols come along quite regularly help to open up winning opportunities.
Fans of standard five-reels slots with three rows and 20 pay lines may find this slot a little frustrating.
