Theme, graphics and soundtrack

The welcome screen is impressive, showcasing the major symbols against a golden temple. Hit play and the screen fills with a neon image of the temple before resolving itself into the grid which is set against ancient red, blue and green brickwork suspended above some kind of underground lake. The reels are smartly presented, the backgrounds throwing the card symbols into relief and highlighting the main symbols witin their copper and gold frames. There are some nice animated details like the gently waving feathers in the priestess’s headdress. Given the accomplishment of the artwork, it’s a shame that more care hasn’t been taken with the soundtrack which seems to have no relevance to the theme and wouldn’t be out of place on the simplest fruit-themed free slots. A small complaint perhaps, and the only real misstep.

1. The first step is to set your bet. You do this by calling up the betting options. Click on Stake and you can choose a bet level out of a choice ranging from 0.20 to 20.00.

Red Tiger have done a reasonably good job of breathing some new life into a well-trodden theme. It looks good, pays fairly well and, although we could have done with more extras, what is there makes it a game worth spending some time on.
