Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King is an online slot developed by Blueprint Gaming. The game uses a Megaways format, offering up to 117,649-ways-to-win on every spin and players can spin from between 0.10 and 100 coins per spin. Features include free-spins, a progressive multiplier and Blueprint’s Jackpot King feature. The RTP of this high volatility slot is 97.01%.
Blueprint Gaming’s Megaways Buffalo Rising has proven itself to be one of the game developer’s most successful releases, and every day, thousands of players choose to head into the great plains of America in search of lucrative treasure. Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King is, essentially, a complete clone of the original Megaways Buffalo Rising game - although, as the name suggests, Blueprint Gaming’s “Jackpot King” progressive jackpot mechanism is built in, offering you the chance to win millions of pounds through the progressive jackpot feature.
Format and RTP
Like the original, Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King uses Big Time Gaming’s famed Megaways game engine. This means there is a total of six rows, and each reel can contain between 2 and 7 symbols. This means that there’s up to 117,649-ways-to-win available on every spin, and with the minimum stake set at just 0.10 it’s a game that players on all budgets can enjoy. (Whales will be pleased to know they can wager up to 100 per spin too, although the game does have a non-jackpot maximum win of 1,000,000 coins not that we’d imagine you’d be complaining if you won that!
Surprisingly, Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King offers a really high RTP, coming in at 97.01%! While it’s not clear how much of the RTP contributes towards the progressive jackpot, it’s a really high RTP, especially for a Megaways slot, and it means it could be an excellent wagering slot - provided online casinos allow it.
Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King’s Symbols And Payouts
One of the things we’ve seen in virtually every Megaways slot is a variety of lower-paying and higher-paying symbols. Of course, this is normal for all video slots - but Megaways slots tend to have quite big extremes when it comes to payouts. For example, the lower-paying symbols are usually worth very little, while the highest-paying ones are often incredibly lucrative. Such is the case with Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King, and you’ll find that Blueprint Gaming has decided to use playing card values to depict the game’s lowest-paying symbols.
These lower-paying symbols include 9, 10, J, Q, K and Ace - and to be honest, while they don’t pay much for a single 6-of-a-kind combo, matching multiple “ways” can actually produce some decent sized wins, especially during the bonus round when there’s a multiplier in play.
Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King offers a few higher-paying symbols and these are all specific to the game. You’ll find a Bear, a Wolf, a Deer, and the Buffalo - naturally - is the top-paying symbol, awarding a payout worth 50X your stake for forming a 6-of-a-kind combo. There are also wild symbols, although these only appear on the top-most reel. Wilds substitute for all other symbols aside from the scatter symbols, which take the form of Pink Diamonds.
Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King Bonus Features
Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King comes packed with features, and below we’re going to take a look at what’s on offer in the game. Let’s kick things off with a look at the main free-spins bonus.
The free-spins bonus round is triggered by landing 4 or more of the Pink Diamond scatter symbols anywhere in view during the base-game. Once you do, you’ll be taken to a new screen where you’ll be able to choose from one of the following options:
- 5 free spins with a multiplier starting at x10
- 10 free spins with a multiplier starting from x5
- 15 free spins with a multiplier starting from x1
- Mystery Gamble – this can award any combination of free spins and multipliers
Generally, we’d recommend you choose the Mystery Gamble feature as this makes it possible to get 15 spins with a starting multiplier of 10X! Now, during the free-spins themselves the multiplier increases by 1X with each win; there’s no upper limit on how high the multiplier can go, and there’s some serious win-potential if you match 6-of-a-kind combos with a high multiplier. It’s also possible to re-trigger more spins; this is done by sliding across three or four scatter symbols in the top-most row. Doing so awards an additional 5 or 10 free-spins respectively.
While it’s not a bonus round, per-se, Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King offers a Mystery Symbol feature and this is present during both the base-game and the free-spins bonus round. On the reels you’ll see that mystery symbols can land in view, and when they do, all instances of the mystery symbol will transform into the same paying symbol, increasing your chances of forming a win.
As we mentioned earlier, the only real difference between Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King and the original Megaways Buffalo King is the introduction of the Jackpot King feature. This is a progressive jackpot that spans across many of Blueprint Gaming’s titles, and it gives you the chance of winning 7-figure jackpots - regardless of your stake size!
To trigger the Jackpot King feature you’ll need to land one of the special jackpot king symbols on each of the six reels. Doing so will take you to a special screen where you’ll get re-spins to try and collect crown symbols. If you collect 20, you’ll get a spin on the big wheel, and here, you’re guaranteed a prize worth at least 40X your stake - although it’s not uncommon to hit 1-200X here!
Our Verdict Of Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King
Megaways Buffalo Rising Jackpot King is pretty much identical to the original - and you’ll struggle to notice any real differences besides the introduction of the Jackpot King feature. We’re not really sure why Blueprint Gaming decided to release an entirely new version of the slot (we feel they could simply have added the Jackpot King progressive jackpot into the original game), but we suppose it’s good that players have the option, as it does affect the RTP.
The game itself is volatile, and there’s big win-potential during the bonus round; like many Megaways slots you’ll want to get that multiplier as high as possible during the free-spins and get a re-trigger or two to maximize the game’s potential!
