Worms: a potted history
The Worms franchise was launched in the mid nineties and the first versions were played on early gaming consoles such as Amiga, Sega Saturn and Game Boy. They were also played widely on PCs. The franchise is still going strong, but its heydey was certainly from the late nineties to the mid noughties. Despite the fun name and cartoonish wormy characters, the video game was a skilled artillery strategy game. Worms Reloaded is one of the more recent versions, having been released in 2010.
In this slot version, the background is a modernised version of the original landscape, featuring a battleground with warring worms, preparing to fire at one another. The reels in front of the battleground are bursting with weapons and armoury, which make up the big symbols. Highest scoring are the rocket launcher symbols and the game logo symbol, which multiplies bets by 500 when it appears five times on a payline. The lower scoring symbols are the predictable J-A. Make your wager by clicking on the Bet button and then spin or Autospin to get the game going.
Wild and bonus symbols
The Wild is a worm in a joker hat. This cheeky fellow substitutes for all symbols apart from the Bonus symbols. The main bonus symbol is represented by a trio of worm soldiers. Bonus features kick in when two of these symbols combine with one of the four other Bonus Feature Symbols - Jet Pack Bonus, Super Sheep, Battle Ground and Blitz Blast. Depending on the combination, you'll get a chance at one of these fantastic features.
Random bonus features
This Blueprint game also features four random bonus features, which can be triggered at any time during a normal spin. These include Teleport Mayhem, which sees symbols moved around the reel table, Concrete Donkey Wilds, which holds wilds in place for the next spin, the crazy Banana Bomb Wilds, which are dropped on to the table causing all sorts of mayhem and the Holy Hand Grenade for even more explosive wins. In total, this game has eight bonus features, in addition to the Wild.
It's not only proving popular with Worms veterans, but with a new wave of slots players who just love the huge amount of wacky bonuses. Try it out for free today here at Slots Temple, to see if this is the game for you.
